Also flowers for use as fillers in arrangements next summer Cornflowers, Achilles, Straw flowers and Gypsophila. Plus some Forget Me Nots to go around the spring bulbs. The little John Deere tractor has been out and about in the garden with buckets full of compost mulch. This has come from Top Notch Calves and is a mix of wood chip, shavings and animal manure that have come out of the calf sheds and been composting for the past three years. Not only is it full of nutrients, but it also helps retain moisture and keep the weeds down. We are looking at selling this commercially in the near future so stay tuned. It has done wonders in the garden, adding so much organic matter to our garden where the soil is very sandy. Meaning the plants are getting all they need to grow to their potential. #compost #johndeere #mulching

It’s passionfruit season! This vine is growing great on the side of the chicken coop and is flourishing with fruit. We’re collecting basketfuls and enjoying them on top of ice cream or by itself. A perfect summer fruit ☀️

Peppers are easy to grow in the vege garden or glasshouse. They continue to fruit throughout summer and love hot days. I pick mine green and use them in salads, stir fry’s and curries.
